Let’s be authentic

and speak from our heart ?-3

A 3 hours workshop on authentic communication

March 10th 2018 (9am to 12pm).

What if being always nice was actually preventing us to have authentic and fulfilling relationships? This two days workshop is an invitation to take off our masks and truly connect to each other. If you would like to bring more authenticity and connection in all your relationships, but also to be more kind to yourself, this is the right place.

The workshop is based on a Nonviolent Communication, a revolutionary approach now worldly renowned, developed by Marshall Rosenberg to:

– connect to yourself at any time to find what is really important to you

– express your true self to others without judgments or criticisms.

– listen deeply to someone else’s truth even when you hear judgment or criticism

– engage in difficult and challenging conversations with a big dose of empathy

During this workshop you will:

  • discover how to trigger more collaboration within yourself and with others.
  • find with tools that you can start applying directly in your day to day life.
  • practice real life authentic communication through role play and theatre exercises.
  • become part of a community of people that will meet regularly to learn and practice.

Part of our exploration of Nonviolent communication will involve theatre exercises. No experience in theatre is necessary, and you will have the freedom to participate freely depending on your comfort zone. If you have questions, please communicate with me at myriam.verzat@gmail.com.

78. 0P7A6643Nonviolent Communication (NVC) has been a very important in my life since I was a child. It is a process and a way of relating to each other that my parents have invited in our family since I was very little. I can see how much it has helped and still helps to nurture our relationships in my nuclear family of six people.

After reading and experiencing by my-self for many years, I joined a community and studied Nonviolent Communication for a in Montreal. Meanwhile, I started offering workshops with Erik Pena Salazar from Communication Synergie. I moved recently to Nanaimo and I am starting a certification program with The Farthest Shore on Gabriola Island.

I feel so grateful about having NVC in my life that I want to share it with others. I have the deep conviction that the way we relate to ourselves and to each other is at the core of the type of violence we observe and perpetuate in the world. I think we need to make a deep change in the way we relate to ourselves, to each other and to the planet if we want to survive as a species on this planet. And I definitely want to be part of this change! I am combining my NVC work to nature connection and improvisation approaches. To know more about me, please visit: http://www.myriamverzat.com.
